Excell.Net will help you determine what you need to start using the Internet. Here are some common issues (if you don't understand these terms, we can still help you!):

    Most computers can be used to access the Internet. Some are "much" slower.
  • Modem
    56k/v.90 is very good, 14.4k is OK, anything less will probably frustrate you due to the slow speed.
  • Monitor
    Almost any monitor will do, the monitor (and video card) affect the display of color and graphics.
  • Disk drive (hard drive)?
    Depends on the software you use, 10-20 megs available is plenty for most software and cache.
  • Communication line
    You can use an existing phone line, or have a separate line installed. Higher speed access is available using "special" lines and associated hardware.
  • Software
    We recommend Microsoft Internet Explorer or Netscape.
  • Web Page support
    If you want a home page, you can do it yourself or we can do it for you.
